I'm sorry, you're ugly

So the ridiculousness from 미녀는 괴로워 (aka 200 Pound Beauty) happens in real life too?

After seeing a feed from Ask A Korean, I read this news article from the BBC. More about it here, and here, and here.

Sigh.

Its too bad. Unfortunately thats the way the world works, its the same thing in the music industry.

Personally I think most kids are cute. That little girl, Lin, should have gotten the recognition she deserves because of her talent. I know why a country does it, but I still dont understand it. Does China really think that the rest of the world thinks that all 1.6 billion people are good looking? To be honest, I think Lin has her own "cute" character/personality to her.

I think it's a shame that the they didn't think she was cute or attractive enough to represent her country. She's cute in her own way, maybe not as universally cute as the other girl, but I bet that she is ashamed now that she has been exposed. If she understands anyway... Honestly is more respectable and gives a better image of the country than what they did.
